Our Story

How It Started
Every Jump.ca store today traces back to one idea in Regina in 1989. Young entrepreneurs with a feel for where technology was heading, a family willing to back the bet, and a small shop installing car phones for local customers.
As mobile technology reshaped how Saskatchewan worked, shopped, and stayed in touch, we grew with it. New stores. New services. New generations of tech. Along the way, the original promise held: know your neighbours, do right by them, and help them use what's next without the headache. That's still how Jump.ca shows up today, in 18 locations across six Saskatchewan cities.

Today
The world has changed a lot since 1989. Car phones gave way to smartphones. Dial-up gave way to fibre. Home alarms joined the smart home. Through every shift, Jump.ca has stayed rooted in the same thing: people-first service from a team that lives in the same communities you do.
Today, we're Saskatchewan's largest SaskTel Authorized Dealer, the only dealer in the province authorized by both SaskTel and SecurTek, and Saskatchewan's largest Apple Authorized Service Provider. For over 35 years, the job has been the same. Help you get the tech that fits your life, and stick around after you've bought it.

Building What’s Next
Jump.ca's next 35 years will look a lot different than the first 35. AI everywhere. Homes that run themselves. Businesses built on networks that didn't exist a decade ago. But the job stays the same. Be the local team you can trust with the tech in your hands, the devices in your home, and the tools running your business.
We'll keep investing in the people, training, and partnerships that make that possible. And we'll keep showing up in the communities we call home, because that's where good service starts.
Our History

1989
The Beginning
Launched by brothers in Regina as a car-phone installation business, with family support and a significant personal investment.

1995
The dot.com Store
The business moved into Regina's premier shopping destination, Cornwall Centre, under the name "The dot.com" store. Alongside the growing mobility operation, the team added SaskTel fibreoptic internet sales and installation. It was the first step beyond devices and into the connections that make them work, setting the pattern we still follow today.

1999
Retail Expansion
By 1999, the business had taken on the Jump.ca name and grown into a multi-store Saskatchewan retailer, selling wireless devices, internet service, and accessories.

2005
Security Division Launch
Jump.ca became an Authorized SecurTek Dealer, adding home and business security to its growing service lineup. The division has been a cornerstone of the business ever since.

2009
Recognition & Growth
Three consecutive years on the Profit 100 list of Canada's Fastest-Growing Companies, plus an Innovation in Technology Award. Along the way, the Jump.ca retail footprint crossed a dozen stores across Saskatchewan.

Opening of a revolutionary concept store at Regina's Cornwall Centre featuring interactive Microsoft Surface tables, touchscreen monitors, and 42-inch LCD displays. This introduced unprecedented technology for wireless retail in a smaller Canadian market.

Opening of the flagship Preston Crossing location in Saskatoon, bringing Jump.ca's full retail, service, and repair experience to Saskatchewan's largest shopping district.

2020

2021
Security Business Expansion

Now
Industry Leadership
